Dear Sir,
Collision between MV ABC and MV XYZ
At 23°12.3’N, 119°54.3’E on 12 May 2011
I advise that I have been recommended by the surveyors appointed by my insurers to write
and hold you liable for the above casualty, the circumstances of which suggest that you
may have a liability for any costs incurred by me.
My vessel is to be surveyed to determine the extent of damage and repair costs at 10:00 on
19 May 2011 whilst lying afloat at Kaohsiung, and you and/or your representative are
invited to be present for a joint survey.
In the event of your being insured against such a liability I suggest that you send a copy of
this letter to your insurers who may wish to contact my insurer’s surveyors DR WWW for
more details.
