§ 290 — Acts done for judicial proceedings
290.—(1) It is a permitted use of a work or protected performance to do anything for the purposes of —(a)
a judicial proceeding; or
(b)
reporting a judicial proceeding.
(2) In this section, “judicial proceeding” means a proceeding before any court, tribunal or person having by law power to hear, receive and examine evidence on oath.
