§ 68 — Power to require evidence of identity in certain cases

68.—(1) Any police officer or employee of the LTA who reasonably believes that any person has committed an offence under this Act may require the person to furnish evidence of his or her identity, and that person must then furnish such evidence of his or her identity as may be required by such police officer or employee of the LTA.

(2) Any person who refuses to furnish any information required of him or her by any police officer or any employee of the LTA under subsection (1) or wilfully mis‑states such information shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding $500.
