§ 309 — Police supervision
309.—(1) If a person who has been convicted in Singapore or elsewhere of an offence punishable with imprisonment for 2 years or more is convicted of another offence also punishable with imprisonment for 2 years or more, a court may, in addition to sentencing the person to any other punishment, order that the person be placed under police supervision for a period starting immediately after the last sentence passed on the person ends.(2) The period of supervision imposed by the General Division of the High Court, the District Court and the Magistrate’s Court under subsection (1) must not exceed 7 years, 5 years and 3 years, respectively.[40/2019]
