§ 4 — Trial of offences under Penal Code 1871 or other laws

4.—(1) Offences under the Penal Code 1871 must be inquired into and tried according to this Code.(2) Offences under any other written law must also be inquired into and tried according to this Code, subject to any law regulating the manner or place of inquiring into or trying those offences.
