§ 55 — Power to release person imprisoned for failing to give security

55.—(1) When a court decides that a person imprisoned for failing to give security under this Part may be released without danger to the community or to another person, the court may order that person to be released.(2) A court other than the General Division of the High Court must not exercise this power except in cases where the imprisonment is under its own order or that of a similar court.[40/2019]
