§ 56 — Political donations from impermissible donors, etc.

56. Subject to this Act, a politically significant person must not accept any political donation if it is offered by a person (called in this section the donor) who, at the time of its acceptance by the politically significant person, the politically significant person knows —(a)

in the case of any politically significant person who is not a Part 4 politically significant person, is not a permissible donor; or

(b)

in the case of a Part 4 politically significant person, is a prohibited donor in relation to the Part 4 politically significant person because of a prohibited donor directive.
