§ 48 — Special provision for offences involving remote gambling

48. On the trial of any person (called the accused) for an offence under section 18, 19 or 20 where the offence committed involves remote gambling, it is not necessary for the prosecution to prove the identity of any particular individual facilitated by the accused to gamble in Singapore in contravention of section 18, 19 or 20 if —(a)

the remote gambling transactions are carried out by anyone using equipment or facilities provided by the accused; and

(b)

those facilities are accessed, or are available for access, by end‑users in Singapore.
