§ 49 — Certain witnesses exempt from liability

49. An individual who is examined as a witness before a court in any proceedings for an offence under this Act is exempt from any criminal or civil liability in relation to that offence if the individual receives from the court a certificate in writing to the effect that the individual has made true and faithful disclosure to the best of the individual’s knowledge of all things as to which the individual has been examined.
