§ 4 — Functions of Committee

4.—(1) The Committee has the following functions:(a)

to review and, with the Minister’s approval, modify the Code of Conduct from time to time;

(b)

to monitor and promote compliance by landlords and tenants with this Act and the Code of Conduct;

(c)

to establish the process for the submission to the Committee of, and maintaining a register for, declarations of permitted deviations;

(d)

to gather feedback on matters relating to the leasing of retail premises;

(e)

to conduct outreach and education relating to this Act and the Code of Conduct and matters relating to the leasing of retail premises.

(2) The Minister may appoint a secretariat to the Committee, to provide the Committee with any assistance that the Committee requires in carrying out its functions, including the keeping of proper accounts for, and records of, the funds for the Committee.
