§ 57 — Immunity
57.—(1) No person or officer, employee or agent of the person shall incur any civil or criminal liability under any written law or rule of law, or be liable for any breach of confidence or to any disciplinary action by a professional body, for doing or omitting to do any act, if the act is done or omitted to be done with reasonable care and in good faith and for the purpose of complying with or giving effect to —(a)
any Part 2 direction given to the person;
(b)
any requirement of a code of practice applicable to the person;
(c)
any rectification notice given to the person;
(d)
any implementation directive given to the person;
(e)
any Part 6 order given to the person; or
(f)
any written notice under section 47 or 48 given to the person.
(2) No liability shall lie against a designated officer, the competent authority, an authorised officer, a police officer or an enforcement officer, the Secretary to the Reviewing Tribunals or a member of an Appeals Advisory Committee for anything done or intended to be done with reasonable care and in good faith in the execution or purported execution of this Act.
