Section 42 — Part 5 direction — self‑initiated cancellation or substitution

(1)The Commissioner may at any time, on his or her own initiative —

(a)cancel a Part 5 direction;

(b)vary a Part 5 direction; or

(c)substitute a Part 5 direction with a Part 5 direction of a different type.

(2)Where a Part 5 direction is cancelled under subsection (1)(a), written notice of the cancellation must be given to every person who has been given that Part 5 direction.
