§ 68 — Saving and transitional provisions

68.—(1) This Act applies to and in relation to —(a)

every taxi service operator licence that is granted, before 30 October 2020, under Part VA of the Road Traffic Act 1961 and is in force immediately before that date; and

(b)

every registration as a registered provider of a third‑party taxi booking service for journeys by taxi within, or partly within, Singapore, under the Third‑Party Taxi Booking Service Providers Act 2015 that is in force immediately before 30 October 2020,

subject to such adaptations provided in the Schedule.

(2) For a period of 2 years after 29 May 2020, the Minister may, by order in the Gazette, amend the Schedule by prescribing any additional provisions of a saving or transitional nature consequent on the enactment of this section that the Minister may consider necessary or expedient.

(3) Nothing in this section or the Schedule affects section 16 of the Interpretation Act 1965.
