§ 22 — Registration of platform work associations
22.—(1) Every platform work association must apply to be registered under this Part within a period of one month starting from the date on which it is established.(2) The Registrar may, from time to time, grant an extension of the period mentioned in subsection (1), provided that no such period is, in any particular case, extended so as to exceed a period of 6 months in aggregate.
(3) For the purposes of this Part, a platform work association is established on the first date on which any platform workers or platform operators agree to become or create an association or a combination for the furtherance of any one or more of the objects specified in the definition of “platform work association” in section 19.
(4) For the purposes of any prosecution of a platform work association which fails to apply for registration in accordance with this section, the following apply:(a)
the date of establishment of that platform work association, in the absence of proof of the date mentioned in subsection (3), is deemed to be —(i)
the date on which any person is proved to have been accepted or admitted as a member of that platform work association; or
(ii)
the date on which any act is proved to have been done by that platform work association in furtherance of any one or more of the objects specified in the definition of “platform work association” in section 19;
(b)
where proof is available of both the dates mentioned in paragraph (a)(i) and (ii), the date of establishment of that platform work association is deemed to be the earlier of those dates.

(b)
where proof is available of both the dates mentioned in paragraph (a)(i) and (ii), the date of establishment of that platform work association is deemed to be the earlier of those dates.
