Section 82 — Saving and transitional provisions arising from repeal of Workforce Singapore Agency Act 2003

(1)Any incentive, grant or loan given before the appointed date by the WSG in the discharge or exercise of its functions, duties and powers under the repealed Act is, as from that date, deemed to be an incentive, grant or loan given by the Agency under this Act.

(2)Any power of an authorised person to verify information under section 47 may be exercised in respect of any incentive, grant or loan given before the appointed date under the repealed Act as if it were an incentive, grant or loan given under this Act.

(3)In this section —“appointed date” means the date of commencement of section 74; “repealed Act” means the Workforce Singapore Agency Act 2003 as in force immediately before the appointed date; “Workforce Singapore Agency” or “WSG” means the public body of that name established by section 3 of the repealed Act.
