Section 133 — General preventative or corrective action direction

(1)Without limiting any other provision in this Division, the Director‑General may give a direction in subsection (2) to any of the persons described in section 119(1) if the Director‑General is satisfied (whether or not from the report of an authorised officer or a food inspector) that an applicable requirement of this Act with respect to primary produce, food or a regulated food contact article is or has been contravened or not complied with.

(2)The direction must be about the taking of preventative or corrective action in respect of primary produce, food or a regulated food contact article that the Director‑General reasonably believes is necessary to ensure compliance with the provisions of this Act.
