§ 140 — Tampering with affixed copy of Part 7 direction

140.—(1) A person commits an offence if the person —(a)

intentionally removes or causes to be removed;

(b)

intentionally alters or causes to be altered; or

(c)

intentionally defaces or causes to be defaced,

a copy of any direction that is affixed to any premises, food vending machine or other equipment under section 121(1)(b) or as ordered under section 123(4)(a) or 124(4)(a), while that direction remains in force.

(2) A person who is guilty of an offence under subsection (1) shall be liable on conviction —(a)

where the person is an individual — to a fine not exceeding $10,000 or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 6 months or to both; or

(b)

where the person is not an individual — to a fine not exceeding $20,000.
