§ 264 — Proof of exemptions or reasonable excuse

264. In a prosecution of a person for an offence under this Act, the onus of proving that —(a)

at the time of the alleged offence a person was exempted from a provision of this Act; or

(b)

anything was done or omitted to be done with lawful excuse or authority or reasonable excuse,

lies upon the person making that assertion.
