Section 81 — Validity of licence and consignment permit

(1)Every licence granted under this Part is in force for the period (not exceeding 5 years) specified in the licence —

(a)except when it is wholly suspended under section 83(2); and

(b)unless it is earlier revoked under section 83(1).

(2)Every consignment permit granted under this Part is in force for the period stated in the permit unless —

(a)it is earlier cancelled under section 84; or

(b)the consignment covered by the permit has been imported, exported or transhipped, as the case may be.
