§ 15 — Unauthorised supply or conveyance of guns, etc.

15.—(1) A person commits an offence if —(a)

the person supplies or conveys any object or thing, or takes part in the supply of any object or thing;

(b)

the object or thing is a gun, a major part of a gun, or a gun accessory;

(c)

the person knows that, or is reckless as to whether, the object or thing is a gun, a major part of a gun, or a gun accessory; and

(d)

the person is not one of the following:(i)

a person granted a licence to supply or convey the gun, major part of a gun or gun accessory;

(ii)

a class licensee authorised under a class licence to supply or convey the gun, major part of a gun or gun accessory;

(iii)

a person exempt from this section under section 87, 88 or 89 in relation to supplying or conveying the gun, major part of a gun or gun accessory.

(2) To avoid doubt, subsection (1) applies to a person regardless that the gun, major part of a gun, or gun accessory concerned was supplied or conveyed other than in the course of carrying on a business.
