Section 76T — Evidence obtained by Authority may be used in criminal investigations and proceedings
(1)Despite the provisions of any written law or rule of law, the Authority may provide any book, written record of any examination or other information, or access to any data, obtained by the Authority under this Part to —
(a)a police officer;
(b)a Commercial Affairs Officer; or
(c)the Public Prosecutor, for the purposes of any investigation into or criminal proceedings against a person for an alleged or suspected contravention of any provision under this Act.
(2)To avoid doubt, any book, written record of examination or other information provided, or any data to which access is provided, by the Authority under subsection (1) is not inadmissible in any criminal proceedings by reason only that it was first obtained by the Authority under this Act, and the admissibility thereof is to be determined in accordance with the rules of evidence under written law and any relevant rules of law.[Act 12 of 2024 wef 24/01/2025]
