s 3 Administration of Act
3.—(1) The Director‑General is, subject to any general or special directions of the Minister, responsible for the administration of this Act.[Act 11 of 2023 wef 01/05/2023] (2) The Director‑General may in writing appoint any public officer, officer of any statutory authority or any other person to be an enforcement officer for the purposes of this Act.[Act 11 of 2023 wef 01/05/2023] (3) Every enforcement officer, when exercising his or her powers and carrying out his or her duties under this Act, must comply with such general or special directions as may, from time to time, be given to the enforcement officer by the Director‑General.[Act 11 of 2023 wef 01/05/2023] (4) The Director‑General may delegate all or any of the powers conferred on him or her by this Act to any enforcement officer, subject to such conditions or limitations as the Director‑General may specify, except the power of delegation conferred by this subsection.[Act 11 of 2023 wef 01/05/2023] (5) The Director‑General may establish one or more advisory committees consisting of such persons as the Director‑General may appoint for the purpose of advising the Director‑General on any matter arising out of the administration and enforcement of this Act.[Act 11 of 2023 wef 01/05/2023]
