s 7 Disqualifications for membership of Council
7. A person must not be a member of the Council if —(a) the person is not a citizen or a permanent resident of Singapore; (b) the person is not a registered dentist or registered oral health therapist; (c) the person is an undischarged bankrupt; (d) the person has been convicted in Singapore or elsewhere of any offence involving fraud or dishonesty, or implying a defect in character which makes the person unfit for his or her profession; (e) the person has been found guilty in Singapore or elsewhere of any improper act or conduct which brings disrepute to his or her profession; (f) the person has been found guilty in Singapore or elsewhere of professional misconduct; or (g) the person’s fitness to practise dentistry is judged by the Health Committee to be impaired by reason of his or her physical or mental condition.
