s 36 Registry of Family Justice Courts
36.—(1) There shall be an office of the Family Justice Courts called the Registry of the Family Justice Courts, comprising such departments as the Presiding Judge of the Family Justice Courts, with the concurrence of the Chief Justice, may from time to time determine. (2) The Registry is under the control and supervision of the registrar of the Family Justice Courts. (3) The Registry is open on every day of the year except on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays. (4) Despite subsection (3), a Registrar may lawfully sit or carry out the business of the Registry on a Saturday, Sunday or public holiday if —(a) the Presiding Judge of the Family Justice Courts, with the concurrence of the Chief Justice, has directed the Registrar to do so on that day; or (b) in the Registrar’s opinion, the business to be despatched is extremely urgent. (5) The office hours of the Registry are such times as the Presiding Judge of the Family Justice Courts, with the concurrence of the Chief Justice, may from time to time direct.
