s 8 Powers of authorised officer
8.—(1) Any authorised officer may at any time enter and examine any land, building or premises for the purpose of ascertaining whether —(a) that land, building or premises is being used for the purpose of the manufacture, processing for sale or sale of simple feeds, feed concentrates and compound feeds; or (b) any offence under this Act or any rules made thereunder has been or is being committed. (2) An authorised officer may at any time enter —(a) any premises used for the storage, manufacture and sale of animal feeds; or (b) any vehicle used for the transport of animal feeds, for the purpose of inspecting the condition of — (c) storage compartments; and (d) animal feeds and taking samples thereof. (3) The Director‑General or an authorised officer may arrest without warrant any person committing or attempting to commit or whom he reasonably suspects of being engaged in committing or attempting to commit any offence under this Act or any rules made thereunder, if —(a) the person refuses to furnish his name and address or furnishes an address out of Singapore; or (b) there are reasonable grounds for believing that the person has furnished a false name or address or that the person is likely to abscond.[11/2019] (4) The Director‑General or an authorised officer making an arrest without warrant must without unnecessary delay bring the person arrested before a Magistrate’s Court.[11/2019]
