Insurance Act 1966 s 101U

s 101U Evidence obtained under Criminal Procedure Code 2010 may be used for purposes of Act

101U. Despite the provisions of any written law or any rule of law, any book, data, statement or other information obtained by —(a) a police officer or a Commercial Affairs Officer in the exercise of his or her powers under Divisions 1 and 2 of Part 4 of the Criminal Procedure Code 2010; or (b) an authorised person mentioned in section 20(1) or (1A), 39(1) or 40(2) of the Criminal Procedure Code 2010, in the exercise of his or her powers under those sections, may be provided to the following persons for the following purposes, if it is in the public interest to do so: (c) to the Authority — for the purpose of any investigation under section 101B(1); (d) to the Minister or to an Appeal Advisory Committee constituted under section 127 — for the purpose of any appeal against a decision of the Authority under this Act.[Act 12 of 2024 wef 24/01/2025]
