s 29 Disposal of subversive documents, etc.
29.—(1) Where proceedings are taken in respect of any offence under this Chapter the court by or before which the alleged offender is tried shall, on the request of any police officer not below the rank of assistant superintendent of police, on the final determination of those proceedings order that any document, publication, material or article being an exhibit in such proceedings be delivered to such officer for disposal under section 28(2). (2) For the purpose of this section, any proceedings shall not be deemed to have been finally determined so long as there is pending any appeal in the matter of the proceedings; and an appeal in the matter shall be deemed to be pending during the ordinary time within which such an appeal may be lodged, and if such an appeal is duly lodged the appeal shall be deemed to be pending until it is decided or withdrawn.
