s 74 Intervention in solicitor’s practice
74.—(1) Subject to subsection (2), the powers conferred by Part 2 of the First Schedule are exercisable in the circumstances specified in Part 1 of that Schedule. (2) The First Schedule applies, with such modifications as may be prescribed under subsection (3), to —(a) a foreign lawyer registered under section 36B, in respect of the foreign lawyer’s practice of Singapore law; and (b) a solicitor registered under section 36E, in respect of the solicitor’s practice of Singapore law in a Joint Law Venture or its constituent foreign law practice, a Qualifying Foreign Law Practice or a licensed foreign law practice.[8/2011; 40/2014] (3) The Minister may make rules to prescribe the modifications to be made to the First Schedule for the purposes of subsection (2).[40/2014]
