s 4 Act not to limit cooperation with international organisations, etc.
4.—(1) This Act does not prevent the provision or obtaining of international assistance in criminal matters to or from the International Criminal Police (Interpol) or any other international organisation. (2) This Act does not prevent the provision or obtaining of international assistance in criminal matters to or from any foreign country other than assistance of a kind that may be provided or obtained under this Act. (3) This Act does not prevent the provision of the following international assistance to a foreign country in relation to a person in Singapore, with the person’s consent:(a) the recording of the person’s statement by a law enforcement agency for the purposes of any criminal matter in the foreign country; (b) the transmission of the person’s statement to the appropriate authority of the foreign country by the Attorney‑General or a law enforcement agency.[Act 42 of 2024 wef 28/03/2025] (4) In subsection (3), a “law enforcement agency” means an authority or person charged with the duty of investigating offences or charging offenders under any written law.[Act 42 of 2024 wef 28/03/2025]
