s 32 Power of investigation of officers of Bureau
32.—(1) In any case relating to the commission of an offence under this Act, an officer of the Bureau has all the powers of a police officer under the Criminal Procedure Code 2010 in relation to an investigation into an arrestable offence.[Act 12 of 2023 wef 01/06/2023] (1A) [Deleted by Act 12 of 2023 wef 01/06/2024] (2) In any case relating to the commission of an offence under the regulations —(a) where the offence is an arrestable offence, an officer of the Bureau has all the powers of a police officer under the Criminal Procedure Code 2010 in relation to an investigation into an arrestable offence; and[Act 12 of 2023 wef 01/06/2023] (b) where the offence is a non-arrestable offence, an officer of the Bureau has all the powers of a police officer under the Criminal Procedure Code 2010 in relation to an investigation into a non-arrestable offence.[Act 12 of 2023 wef 01/06/2023] (3) For the purposes of subsections (1) and (2)(a), when an officer of the Bureau is exercising the powers of a police officer under the Criminal Procedure Code 2010, the officer of the Bureau is deemed to be an officer not below the rank of inspector of police.[15/2010]
