Maintenance of Parents Act 1995 s 3AA

s 3AA Child below 21 years of age

3AA.—(1) A child who is below 21 years of age is not liable to maintain the child’s parent. (2) If a child is below 21 years of age —(a) a claim must not be referred to the Commissioner under section 3(3) against the child; and (b) the child must not be named or joined as a respondent in any proceedings under this Act. (3) Nothing in subsection (1) or (2) affects the application or operation of regulation 10(1) of the Maintenance of Parents (Amendment) Act 2023 (Saving and Transitional Provisions) Regulations 2024 (G.N.
