s 24 Investigation powers
24. —(1) A registration officer may investigate an offence under this Act. [32/2016] (2) In any case relating to the commission of an offence under this Act, a registration officer — ( a ) has all the powers of a police officer under the Criminal Procedure Code 2010 in relation to an investigation into an arrestable offence; and ( b ) when exercising the powers of a police officer under the Criminal Procedure Code 2010, is deemed to be an officer not below the rank of inspector of police.
