s 44 Dishonestly obtaining Singapore passport, etc.
44. —(1) If a person — ( a ) buys or offers to buy a Singapore passport or a Singapore travel document; or ( b ) obtains a Singapore passport or a Singapore travel document dishonestly, or by threats, the person shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding $10,000 or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 10 years or to both.
