s 3 Law relating to pensions to cease to apply to officers and other persons falling within Agreement
3. With effect from 1st January 1978*, the law relating to pensions shall cease to apply to any officer or to his widow or child or to his legal personal representative in respect of whom the Government of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland has assumed responsibility for the payment of pension in accordance with the provisions of the Agreement.* The appointed day for the purpose of the Agreement, as mutually arranged between the Government of the United Kingdom and the Government of the Republic of Singapore.
