s 96 Organisation of Auxiliary Police Force
96. —(1) The employer of an Auxiliary Police Force must, with the approval of the Commissioner, appoint an auxiliary police officer or a police officer to be the Commander of the Auxiliary Police Force. (2) The Commander is accountable to the Commissioner in respect of the discharge of his or her duties as a Commander of the Auxiliary Police Force and the exercise of police powers by the auxiliary police officers under his or her charge. (3) Every Auxiliary Police Force must be organised in ranks similar to those of the Police Force, and is subject to the authority of the Commissioner for the maintenance of law and order, the preservation of public peace and the detection of crimes within the limits of Singapore. —(1) The employer of an Auxiliary Police Force must, with the approval of the Commissioner, appoint an auxiliary police officer or a police officer to be the Commander of the Auxiliary Police Force.
