s 8 Appointment of Director of National Monuments

8.—(1) The Board must appoint one of its officers as the Director of National Monuments who is responsible for the performance of the duties and functions assigned to the Director under this Act. (2) The Board may give any directions, not inconsistent with the provisions of this Act, as to the performance of the Director’s duties and functions and the Director must give effect to those directions.
