s 59 Composition of offences
59.—(1) The Board may —(a) compound any offence under section 45A by collecting from a person reasonably suspected of having committed the offence a sum not exceeding $10,000; and (b) compound any other offence under this Act that is prescribed as a compoundable offence by collecting from a person reasonably suspected of having committed the offence a sum not exceeding $3,000.[13/2020] [Act 38 of 2024 wef 01/03/2025] (2) The Board may, with the approval of the Minister, make regulations to prescribe the offences which may be compounded. (3) All sums collected under this section must be paid into the Consolidated Fund.[11/2018]
