s 3 Registrar‑General of Births and Deaths
3. —(1) The Minister must appoint, from among public officers, a Registrar‑General of Births and Deaths. (2) The Registrar‑General is responsible for the administration of this Act. (3) The Minister may give the Registrar‑General directions of a general character, and not inconsistent with the provisions of this Act, as to the performance of the functions and the exercise of the powers of the Registrar‑General under this Act or any other written law; and the Registrar‑General must give effect to such directions. —(1) The Minister must appoint, from among public officers, a Registrar‑General of Births and Deaths.
