s 5B No riding of personal mobility device, etc., when towed by motor vehicle
5B. —(1) An individual must not ride a personal mobility device or drive or ride a mobility vehicle on a road at any time while the individual riding the personal mobility device, or driving or riding the mobility vehicle, is towed by a motor vehicle or is otherwise holding on to a motor vehicle. [38/2018] [Act 5 of 2026 wef 04/05/2026] (2) An individual who contravenes subsection (1) shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable on conviction — ( a ) to a fine not exceeding $2,000 or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 3 months or to both; and ( b ) if the individual is a repeat offender, to a fine not exceeding $5,000 or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 6 months or to both.
