s 137TA Authority may extend scope of Division in certain circumstances
137TA. The Authority may, if it thinks it is necessary in the interests of the public or a section of the public, to protect investors, or to enhance market transparency, by regulations extend, with or without modifications or adaptations, the provisions of this Division —(a) to any person or class of persons, other than the persons to which this Division applies; (b) to any securities, securities‑based derivatives contracts or units in a collective investment scheme, or class of securities, securities‑based derivatives contracts or units in a collective investment scheme, other than the securities, securities‑based derivatives contracts or units in a collective investment scheme to which this Division applies; (c) to any interests in securities, securities‑based derivatives contracts or units in a collective investment scheme, or class of interests in securities, securities‑based derivatives contracts or units in a collective investment scheme, other than the interests in securities, securities‑based derivatives contracts or units in a collective investment scheme to which this Division applies; or (d) to require the disclosure of interests in any entity, arrangement or trust other than a real estate investment trust or a responsible person for a real estate investment trust, and the provisions of this Division apply accordingly.
