Securities and Futures Act 2001 s 145

s 145 Self‑incrimination

145.—(1) A person is not excused from disclosing information to the Authority, under a requirement made of the person under section 142, 143 or 144, on the ground that the disclosure of the information might tend to incriminate the person. (2) Where a person claims, before making a statement disclosing information that the person is required to disclose by a requirement made of the person under section 142, 143 or 144, that the statement might tend to incriminate the person, that statement —(a) is not admissible in evidence against the person in criminal proceedings other than proceedings under section 148; but (b) is admissible in evidence for civil proceedings under Part 12.
