s 56 Decision of Minister on appeal
56.—(1) After considering an appeal under section 55, the Minister may —(a) reject the appeal and confirm the Agency’s decision to give the direction; or (b) allow the appeal and vary or revoke the direction that is the subject of the appeal. (2) The Minister’s decision on an appeal is final. (3) Every appellant mentioned in section 55(1) must be notified of the Minister’s decision under subsection (1). (4) An appeal under section 55 does not affect the operation of the direction appealed against or prevent the taking of action to implement the direction and, unless otherwise directed by the Minister, the direction appealed against must be complied with until the determination of the appeal.
