2003/46/EC: Council Decision of 22 January 2002 on the signing and the provisional application of the Agreement between the European Community and the Lao People's Democratic Republic on trade in textile products initialled in Brussels on 3 December 2001

Article 1

The signing of the Agreement between the European Community and the Lao People's Democratic Republic on trade in textile products is hereby approved on behalf of the Community, subject to the Council Decision concerning the conclusion of the said Agreement.

The text of the Agreement is attached to this Decision.

Article 2

The President of the Council is hereby authorised to designate the person empowered to sign the Agreement on behalf of the Community subject to its conclusion.

Article 3

Subject to reciprocity, the Agreement shall be applied on a provisional basis as from 1 January 2002 pending the completion of the procedures for its conclusion.
