Article 1

The Agreement between the European Union and the Republic of Albania on the activities of the European Union Monitoring Mission (EUMM) in the Republic of Albania is hereby approved on behalf of the European Union. The text of the agreement is attached to this Decision.

Article 2

The President of the Council is hereby authorised to designate the person empowered to sign the agreement in order to bind the European Union.

Article 3

This Decision shall take effect on the day of its adoption.

Article 4

This Decision shall be published in the Official Journal of the European Union. Done at Brussels, 24 February 2003. For the Council The President G. Papandreou (1) OJ L 328, 23.12.2000, p. 53.
