2004/265/EC: Council Decision of 8 March 2004 concerning the conclusion of the Memorandum of Understanding between the European Community and the National Tourism Administration of the People's Republic of China on visa and related issues concerning tourist groups from the People's Republic of China (ADS)

Article 1

The Memorandum of Understanding between the European Community and the National Tourism Administration of the People's Republic of China on visa and related issues concerning tourist groups from the People's Republic of China (ADS) is hereby approved on behalf of the Community.

The text of the Memorandum of Understanding is attached to this Decision.

Article 2

The President of the Council shall give the notification provided for in Article 8(2) of the Memorandum of Understanding(2).

Article 3

The position of the Community within the Approved Destination Status Committee with regard to the adoption of its Rules of Procedure, as required under Article 6(5) of the Memorandum of Understanding, shall be taken by the Commission after consultation of a special committee designated by the Council.

For all other decisions of the Approved Destination Status Committee, the position of the Community shall be adopted by the Council, acting by a qualified majority, on a proposal from the Commission.

Article 4

This Decision shall be published in the Official Journal of the European Union.
