Article 1

National aid granted by the Republic of Cyprus for CYP 23Β 000Β 000 (equivalent to EUR 39Β 330Β 000) to enable Cypriot farmers to repay to Banks and other financial institutions part of their agricultural debts, which were created before 31 December 1998 due to the exceptional circumstances that prevailed before and up to that date, shall be considered compatible with the common market.

Article 2

This Decision is addressed to the Republic of Cyprus.
