Article 1
In Article 2 of Regulation (EC) No 996/97, the following paragraph 3 is added: ‘3. By way of derogation from Article 3 of Regulation (EC) No 1445/95, import licences shall be valid until the end of the import tariff quota period.’

Article 2
This Regulation shall enter into force on the day following its publication in the Official Journal of the European Union . It shall apply to import licences issued as from the quota period starting on 1 July 2007.
