Article 1
The Visa Information System shall start operations in the third region determined by Decision 2010/49/EC on 2 October 2012.

Article 2
This Decision shall enter into force on the day of its publication in the Official Journal of the European Union .
Article 3
This Decision shall apply in accordance with the Treaties.
