The State aid which the Slovak Republic is planning to implement for the construction of the terminal in Žilina-Teplička in the form of initial investment aid of EUR 25,04 million is compatible with the internal market within the meaning of Article 93 of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union. Implementation of this aid of EUR 25,04 million is accordingly authorised.
In three years' time the Slovak Republic shall provide the following information: (a) the total volume of intermodal transport, the volume of continental transport and the volume of transport using means other than ISO containers in Slovakia and at the Žilina-Teplička terminal; (b) the prices charged at the Žilina-Teplička terminal; (c) whether the clients of the new terminals had previously been using the existing terminals and, if so, a survey on why they switched.
This Decision is addressed to the Slovak Republic.
