Council Decision (EU) 2018/890 of 4 June 2018 on the conclusion, on behalf of the European Union, of the Additional Protocol to the Council of Europe Convention on the Prevention of Terrorism

Article 1

The Additional Protocol to the Council of Europe Convention on the Prevention of Terrorism, as regards matters falling within the competence of the Union, is hereby approved on behalf of the Union.

The text of the Additional Protocol is attached to this Decision.

Article 2

The European Union Agency for Law Enforcement Cooperation (Europol) is designated as the point of contact for the Union, as provided for in Article 7 of the Additional Protocol and in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/794 of the European Parliament and of the Council  ( 6 ) .

Article 3

The President of the Council shall designate the person(s) empowered to deposit, on behalf of the Union, the instrument of approval provided for in Article 10 of the Additional Protocol  ( 7 ) .

Article 4

This Decision shall enter into force on the date of its adoption.
